On July 9th, 2010, Team CRC Driver Randy Kretzinger was involved in an on-track incident which resulted in his car going end-over-end once followed by two barrell rolls.
Randy spent the evening in the hospital and fortunately was released with no injuries behind severe bruising, lots of soreness and one completely destroyed race car. This was the classic example of wrong place - wrong time, as Randy played no part in this accident. He was in the high groove of the racetrack when a car running a lower line got into some wet dirt/clay slime and came rocketing up the track unable to slow and hit Randy directly in the driver's side door, sending him over the brim and into a twisting spiraling endo/barrell roll.
Emergency Personell at the track had to use the jaws of life to extract him, cutting the car and cage in half and completely killing his car. This was the car that Randy had just won his first feature race in the week before.
